Sorry, Carbophobia! has gone out of print. Each book in the Flashpoint Series explores social contemporary issues in a manner that is direct and challenging. Flashpoint titles are books to ignite the mind. Here, we've collected the first five of the series, and slashed the price.
The set includes: - An Expensive Way to Make Bad People Worse by Jens Soering
A call for reform not based on the perceived injustice of the criminal justice system or on the broken lives of inmates, but on a fiscally conservative agenda that taxpayers are not getting their value for money.
- Carbophobia! by Michael Greger
An examination of America’s low-carb craze and the medical problems associated with a low-carb diet.
- Aftershock by pattrice jones
Redefines the current understanding of "terror" in this psychological guide for radical activists and those who care for them.
- Strategic Action for Animals by Melanie Joy.
Argues that strategy is the element most often missing in unsuccessful animal campaigns.
- The Animal Activist's Handbook by Matt Ball and Bruce Friedrich
Argues for "joyous" activism over confrontational styles.
Whether you find the reading incendiary or illuminative, you'll likely be galvanized.
